Get your MLB Picks during the underdog-days of summer

14 Apr 2011
I have made my clients a fortune with my MLB Picks, specifically with the underdog days of summer. I'm talking about Major League Baseball. Here, in its simplest form is a little bit of Meyer-Math. There are 162 games in a season. The favorites don't win all of the games. Your reward for taking a dog is that you are paid a premium. So let's say you take the Atlanta Braves +160 and they win. You get $160.00 for your $100.00 play.

Next day you take the Twins +170 and they win. Great. Now you play two favorites that are -110 and -120 respectively... and it doesn't go your way. You have now split four games... however, you are UP a hundred dollars. Well in theory it sounds real good, but don't you have to find dogs that can win? Of course, and there are standout dog plays every day.

People tend to get caught up in what they think are locks. Obviously there is no such thing.
The temptation to play Josh Johnson with the Florida Marlins is understandable., and the line on that game will most likely have him as a strong favorite to win. It could be even worse with Halliday for the Phillies, where we have seen -200 when he's starting. But here's the reality... let's say Johnson has 30 decisions this year and goes 20-10.  He could win the Cy Young award... and you can lose your shirt, because you're going to lose more in those 10 losses than you might win in the 20 victories.

If it were that easy, people would play nothing but underdogs. The problem is, you have to know where and when and how much to play, that's where we come in. Last year our underdog plays across all sports was well over 60%  as explained earlier, that's more than enough to create a very positive effective yield.

In my business, everybody is focused on the ability to find a team that can win. Of course the real money is in finding a really good team that can lose.

So here's what I suggest you do for the rest of the summer with your MLB Picks. Find a comfortable chair, a cold beer and grab a dog... and enjoy the underdog days of summer.
